Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/3 cup raw honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions:
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Heat avocado oil in a 12-inch cast iron or stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Place chicken in the pan and sear for 5–7 minutes per side until a deep mahogany-colored crust forms.
- Lower the heat to medium. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and onion powder, scraping up the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Toss the chicken continuously in the simmering sauce for 2–3 minutes, basting the tops of the thighs with a spoon until the sauce is glossy and clings to the meat.
