Ingredients:
- 1 cup (235g) mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 tbsp (16g) tomato paste
- 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (2g) paprika
- 1/2 tsp (1g) garlic powder
- 2 tbsp (30ml) water
Instructions:
- Combine the mayonnaise, melted butter, and tomato paste in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously until the color is uniform and no streaks of tomato paste remain.
- Add the sugar, paprika, and garlic powder. Continue whisking until the sugar crystals are no longer visible and the sauce has turned a smooth, pale orange.
- Slowly drizzle in water one tablespoon at a time while whisking until the sauce reaches a ribbon consistency.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop and viscosity to set.
