Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) Yakisoba or Lo Mein noodles
- 3 tbsp (42g) Unsalted butter
- 2 cloves (6g) Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp (45ml) Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Teriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp (5g) Brown sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) Toasted sesame oil
- 1 stalk (10g) Green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp (3g) Toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Heat the vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat in a large wok or cast iron skillet. Once the butter foams, add the noodles and spread them across the pan, searing undisturbed for 3 minutes until golden-brown edges form.
- Toss in the minced garlic and the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and toss rapidly for 2 minutes until the sauce reduces into a glossy glaze.
- Remove from heat immediately, fold in the sliced green onions, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
