Ingredients:
- 300g apples, peeled and finely diced
- 65g light brown sugar
- 28g unsalted butter
- 2.6g ground cinnamon
- 2.5ml vanilla extract
- 5ml lemon juice
- 6 sheets rice paper wrappers
- 30ml melted butter
Instructions:
- Melt 28g butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the liquid has reduced to a thick, glossy syrup.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and let the filling cool for 10 minutes.
- Dip one rice paper sheet into lukewarm water for 5–10 seconds until pliable.
- Lay the paper flat and place approximately 30g of filling in the center. Fold the bottom edge over, tuck in the sides tightly, and roll upward.
- Brush the exteriors of the rolls with melted butter.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden-brown and crisp.
