Ingredients:

  • 300g apples, peeled and finely diced
  • 65g light brown sugar
  • 28g unsalted butter
  • 2.6g ground cinnamon
  • 2.5ml vanilla extract
  • 5ml lemon juice
  • 6 sheets rice paper wrappers
  • 30ml melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Melt 28g butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the liquid has reduced to a thick, glossy syrup.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and let the filling cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Dip one rice paper sheet into lukewarm water for 5–10 seconds until pliable.
  5. Lay the paper flat and place approximately 30g of filling in the center. Fold the bottom edge over, tuck in the sides tightly, and roll upward.
  6. Brush the exteriors of the rolls with melted butter.
  7. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden-brown and crisp.
