Ingredients:

  • 3 to 4 large firm apples (approx. 900g), Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar

Instructions:

  1. Core the apples and slice them into translucent rounds approximately 1/8 inch (3mm) thick using a mandoline slicer.
  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the apple slices with melted coconut oil, cinnamon, and sugar until evenly coated.
  3. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and lay the slices in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  4. Preheat oven to 225°F (110°C). Bake for 60 minutes.
  5. Gently flip each slice with a spatula and bake for another 30–60 minutes until the edges curl slightly and the centers look matte.
  6. Immediately transfer the chips to a wire cooling rack to allow remaining moisture to evaporate and achieve a shattering, crispy texture.
